This panel will be an informal mix between actors and directors, focusing on how actors can get the world out to directors and producers of indie films that they are available and ready to work. Directors attending will include the filmmakers whose short films have been selected for this year’s festival.

Cheryl Faye cast for Feature Films and Television Shows, her film credits include "Fatal Beauty", "Reservoir Dogs",  "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Lawnmower Man", "Heathers". and TV Series "Tales From the Crypt". She has worked with many illustrious directors, Quentin Tarantino, Sam Raimi, Reny Harlin, Tom Holland, Robert Townsend, Jack Sholder, Charles Martin Smith, Nick Castle and Brett Leonard.
 
Sherry Sims has worked with feature casting director Liz Keigley, and commercial casting director Kris Nicolau, as an associate on several films and commercials.  Oliver Stone’s ‘Born on the Fourth of July’,  Universal’s feature film ‘Problem Child,’   Stephen J. Cannell TV shows ‘21 Jump Street,’ ’Broken Badges,’ ‘Hunter’ and ‘Booker,’  Goldwasser/Meltzer Casting Disney Channel’s ‘Hannah Montana.’

Linda and Brian will discuss aspects of the Independent Film industry including what to expect when meeting with executives, being prepared, development, production, distribution, sales and marketing and how to get a green light on a film.

SAGIndie has been spreading the word: Just because your film isn’t produced by a studio doesn’t mean you can’t use professional talent. Darrien will discuss how to work with them and the types of contracts they offer. 
 
Samantha Sarakanti has extensive branded integration experience on both the production and agency sides of the business.  After her start in product placement/production resources at MGM, she led the independent feature film department at NMA Entertainment & Marketing.  She is currently Client Services Director at another top product placement agency, Creative Entertainment Services.
