Paul Battista, Esq. is a partner of MindFusion Law where he represents low budget independent filmmakers. He has written directed and produced the low budget independent feature film, Crooks, which has been released by Warner Home Video.  Paul will be giving away 25 free copies of his book on Independent Film Producing: The Outsider’s Guide To Producing A First Low Budget Film

VH1 Creative Labs Pitch Session with Development Executives

Participants should be prepared to give a written submission description of their show idea and also verbally pitch and answer questions within a 5-minute window.

Dave Mace Senior Vice President & Executive Producer at VH1 Creative Labs, a new internal development group at VH1.  Prior to that, Mace was Senior Vice President and Head of Original Programming for the Logo network.  An integral part of Logo’s launch, he had been with the network since March of 2005.   

La Née Griffin, Coordinator at VH1 Creative Labs, was previously at VH1 Development, Production and Programming, where she worked under the direction of Jeff Olde. Some of her credits include Rock of Love, Celebrity Rehab, Basketball Wives and Single Ladies.

Pixar presentation The Making of La Luna by its director Enrico Casarosa 

The North American premiere screening of Pixar’s La Luna followed by a special presentation of "The Making of Pixar’s La Luna" by its director Enrico Casarosa.  This keynote presentation is loaded with original artwork and insightful looks into Pixar's production process.  

Enrico will discuss the journey that led him to create this very personal short, and along the way demonstrate the singularly artistic style by which the film was crafted. Enrico has worked on feature length films such as “Up” and “Ratatouille.”

Angela works as a freelance Producer/Line Producer, producing commercials, music videos, PSA’s, as well as several feature films and the 2009 Slamdance award winning Best Narrative film, A QUIET LITTLE MARRIAGE and the Netflix Find Your Voice Competition winner, AMOUNG KINGS. Her current projects include three Indie films

Meet Stephen X. Sylvester & Steven Bingen 
 
Co-authors of “M-G-M: Hollywood’s Greatest Backlot” Stephen X. Sylvester is a filmmaker, historian and former Executive Director of the Wattles Mansion and Gardens.  Steven Bingen is a writer and an archivist at Warner Bros. Studios.  They will be discussing their book collaboration and the classic Hollywood studio system.  Later that evening Stephen X. Sylvester will premiere his short film, “Where Dreams Came True” a tour of M-G-M, Hollywood’s prestige studio with ghosts from classic movies encountered along the way.
